Long-considered a sort of village within the city of Denver, characterized by low-rise, residential duplexes and independent retail shops, Cherry Creek has grown over the past decade into one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city, marked by a combination of well-planned, mixed-use developments, that seem to be rising higher and higher from the ground, and continue to bring in new residents who enjoy being within walking distance to shopping, eating, and increasingly, workplaces. The neighborhood is probably best-known, however, for the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, one of the largest, enclosed malls in the state and home to top national retail, service and restaurants chains.
