CEO and Founder Arif Gangji named
Neon Rain Interactive for his hacker nickname when he founded the interactive developer in 2002 as a basement-based side project he first worked from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m.
The company started out with a focus on web applications, but now also develops mobile apps and websites as well as offering SEO.
Now 15 employees, Neon Rain is looking to add up to five new employees immediately, including Drupal developers and account managers.
The RiNo-based company needs more space, Gangji says, so a move is likely in the near future. "We're out of space, so we're already looking."
Neon Rain's recent work includes SEO for
Med-Fit, resulting in the top ranking for "Denver weight loss, and development for
Wino.me, a new wine recommendation app, as well as an unexpected market: other web developers.
"We work with a lot of our competitors as well," says Gangji. "A lot of them are our clients."
Gangji also says Neon Rain is plugged into a network of angel investors and can help startups looking for funding. "We can connect clients with investors," he touts.
