CEO Julian Rai and COO Stephanie Alaimo launched
CommonTiger* in 2011 in San Diego with an unusual premise: website repair and maintenance.
"There is no maintenance sector on the Web," says Rai. "It seems obvious. It seems websites don't change, but they always do."
In 2012, CommonTiger* expanded to Denver and now employ five in an office in LoDo, and Rai hopes to hire two more people in the near term.
For website repairs, CommonTiger* offers a square deal: $50 an hour for pay-as-you-go work or $45 an hour for projects. "We're at the very low end of the price range," says Rai. Competitors could charge as much as $10,000 for what CommonTiger would charge $500, he adds.
"We steer clients towards more affordable solutions," echoes Alaimo. "We endeavor to provide what is good for the client, even it it's a lower price tag."
Rai and Alaimo have been splitting time between California and Colorado. "We've been bouncing back and forth," says Rai, who fell in love with Denver as a touring musician. Soon they will stop the bouncing, he adds. "Denver is set up to run without us."
