Cloud Elements

Cloud Elements
has added 10 employees and tripled its customer base since March. The company offers pre-built "Elements" that integrate various systems with the cloud.
The big news for August is the recent release of an application programming interface (API) that integrates Twilio's dloud-based voice and text technology with SendGrid's email delivery system. The API is free to developers through the end of 2013.
"It's a unified messaging hub that for the first time integrates Twilio and SendGrid," says Cloud Elements CEO and Founder Mark Geene. "It was born out of making our team more efficient."
Twilio and SendGrid announced a partnership earlier in 2013. The API "makes that partnership a reality from a product perspective," says Geene. "This was a natural fit for us."
Cloud Elements has also moved its delivery from private clouds for clients to a centralized public cloud. "This really opens up our service," says Geene. "Developers can now sign in and connect with all of our elements."
Now with a staff of 25 employees in Denver and Centennial, Cloud Elements has seen revenues skyrocket in recent months, adds Geene. "We've grown a couple hundred percent [since spring]," says Geene. "We've tripled our customer base."
