Jason Ryer started doing business as
303 Velocity in 2011. The mobile app company specializes in porting apps from iOS to Android and vice versa.
Since the launch, Ryer has worked on both developing and porting mobile apps. He recently ported the
Snoopify app from Snoop Dogg -- a.k.a. Snoop Lion -- as well as
Catwang and other "sticker camera" apps from San Francisco's
99centbrains.
303 Velocity also serves a diverse base of other clients, from teacher's associations to military contractors. The company recently developed a mobile app for the Texas State Teachers Association.
Staffed by Ryer and a far-flung team of contractors, 303 Velocity is based at
Creative Density, a coworking space in Uptown.
"I really like it," says Ryer of his two years working at Creative Density. "I was desperate to get out of the home office."
But Ryer travels regularly to South America, where many of his contractors are based. "That's a value we call worldliness," he says. "We can work with clients remotely."
