Colorado entertainment lawyer David Ratner has opened the
Creative Law Network in the Bushong Mansion at 2036 E. 17th Ave. in Denver’s City Park neighborhood.
The firm helps small to mid-size businesses and members of the creative arts community navigate complex legal issues. Ratner’s passion for helping clients protect their intellectual property rights began during his pre-law career in the music and entertainment management businesses as a tour manager, publicist, band manager and founder of his own management agency.
In addition to representing corporations with complex business and intellectual property legal needs, Creative Law Network represents clients in the creative arts community, including the music, film, visual arts, fashion, writing, publishing and web design/development industries.
“I have had the privilege of representing some of the most interesting and entrepreneurial companies and individuals over the course of my law career,” Ratner says. “Creative Law Network is committed to delivering high-quality, reliable and timely results while maintaining a comfortable, friendly and personalized experience for clients.”
The Bushong Mansion is a restored historic building in a vibrant neighborhood. The building provides all the accouterments of a downtown office, giving clients easy access to parking, as well as coffee shops, restaurants and other services.
Ratner earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is on the faculty at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and involved with the Entertainment & Sports Section of the Colorado Bar Association as well as the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Copyright Society of the USA.
Ratner is also actively involved in several nonprofits, including as a board member of the OneDrum Foundation and a member of the Western States Arts Federation Music Task Force.
