The CBD (Central Business District) marks the start of the 16th Street mall, a source of pride or contention depending on whom you ask. One of the country's largest pedestrian walkways and the main vein into LoDo, the heart of the 16th Street Mall has more than 280 restaurants and shops. While the CBD contains several government buildings and the Colorado Convention Center suggests more visitors than residents, more than 3,500 Denverites live in the CBD's renovated lofts.
